4th of July BBQ Ideas
Summer is the perfect time for planning a BBQ with friends and family. Whether YOU’RE celebrating a special occasion, planning a 4th of July party, or just bringing everyone together for a fun day, everyone enjoys a good BBQ. However, a lot can go into planning a BBQ for a big group. Don’t worry, all of us at STONEFIRE have a few tips and tricks for how to host the perfect BBQ for everyone to enjoy!
- Venue: The venue can be a difficult but an important choice in planning your BBQ. Here in Southern California, we have tend to have plenty of options including the beach, a park or a backyard. Each has its own perks and downfalls. Think about your audience and your own preferences, and then pick a location based off of those. Just remember that some parks and beaches might require prior booking and potential fees.
Menu: The menu is the backbone to your BBQ! Make sure you have plenty of food for all of your guests and make sure there is something for everyone. We always like to use one of our Crowd Pleasers for our BBQs. With a variety of grill options, a large salad (Garden, Caesar, Cartwheel, or Greek) and Freshly Baked Breadsticks, everyone has something to enjoy. You can even add on a 16″ two-topping Pizza or sides! We also like to make sure to have some vegetarian and pescatarian options for anyone with a more restricted diet. Don’t forget about dessert either! Whether its a scoop of ice cream or Our Incredible Carrot Cake, there is always room for dessert! Make sure to let your guests know what the menu will be so they can come prepared! If you want a little bit of the cooking to be taken off your hands, have guests bring the sides potluck style or contact your local STONEFIRE Grill for suggestions! You can also contact our Catering Office is you are planning a bit of a bigger event!
Drinks: Especially if your event is on a warm day, make sure you have lots of cool drinks to keep your guests cool. And don’t forget about the beer if that is something you and your friends enjoy!
Activities: Make sure to have plenty of activities planned and ready to go when your guests arrive. Whether its a place to sit in the shade, a pool to hop into, a game of Jenga, or various lawn games, it’s always a good idea to have many options for your guests to enjoy throughout the party.
Decorations: Whether you like DIY themed decorations or more of a natural environment, it is important to think about the ambiance you want your event to have. Also, if your event is in the evening, make sure you have lighting available in case it starts to get dark outside as your guests are still enjoying the party. You can just use your house lights if you are in your backyard, hang some string lights, or get a bit more creative, like putting candles in lanterns.
Prep: Make sure your grill is clean and you’re prepared to start BBQing when your guests arrive! And don’t forget about the BBQ sauce!
We hope you all have a fun and safe 4th of July!
